Nong Chok is
a distric in Bangkok, but it
doesn’t feel like Bangkok at all because a smell of countryside. It’s well known with Muslims area because 85% of society
are Muslims, the others being Buddhists and Christians.
The history and development of Nong
Chok is linked to the digging of the Saen Saab Canal that cuts across the
district from west to east.
Muslim people
who resided in this area immigrated from the Patani Kingdom (southern Thailand). Their descendants live in the area to this day.
Living in Nong Chok is like living
in a country
side because the area
still have largely rice fields. You can see a lot of beautiful flowers roadside. In Nong Chok, There is no skyscraper,
It’s a goverment rule. The popular and delicious food
is Tom Yam Kung (Kung :Shrimp).
