EDUCA 2015

EDUCA is educational exhibition for professional development of teachers. It held every year for school administrators by the goverment. They invite all of teachers in Thailand. EDUCA 2015 is held on October 14-16 in IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok. There are conference, workshop, international workshop, Model Classroom show, and education exhibition. It is free except the International Conference.

            I attended the International Conference in the first day (14/10). Here are the speakers and the link to download.

The first speaker is Professor Mick Waters, Professor of Education, Wolverhampton University, UK. (Securing Learning That Matters).

The Second speaker is Associate Professor Naraporn Chan-ocha, Vice Chair, Distance Learning Foundation Thailand. (Distance Learning for Equity and Equality of Education - Thailand Successful Improvement)

The next is Dr. Stanley Sai Mun Ho, Principal, Lok Sin Tong Wong Chung Ming Secondary School, Hongkong (Shool Reform with Lasting Impact-Energizing Students to Become Self Regulated Learners).

Lesson Study for Learning Community is presented by the forth speaker. He is Assistant Professor Eisuke Saito, Ph.D., Curiculum, Teaching & Learning Academic Group, National Institute of Education (NIE) Singapore.

The fifth speaker is Professor Leena Krokfors, Ph.D., Vice Dean Academic and International Affairs, University of Helsinki, Finland. (Quality and Successful Schooling - Challenges the Future of Comprehensive Schools in Finland)

To Motivate Learners in Thailand-Research on What Work is presented by Professor Jyrki Loima, Ph.D., Visiting Professor, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorm University, Thailand.

 

And the last speaker is ellen Moir. She is the founder and Chief Excecutive Officer, The New Teacher Center, USA. Her topic is The Successful Approaches of New Teacher Induction.

On the second day i went there again and got a lot of experiences. I tried to join Workshop in Thailand Language by Nanmeebooks Innovation Company,  I attended International Seminar by Finland (Finnish Lessons- Education in Finland Seminar), and I visited a lot of booths. Not only knowledge,  I got  new friends, they are  English teachers from Bangkok. They told me a lot about education in Thailand.
